NEWS: Locus working with Cambridge BID to secure third term

We are delighted to announce that we are working in partnership with the Cambridge BID team on planning for their third term which, subject to ballot, will commence April 2023.

Cambridge BID has already achieved so much in its last two terms which has spanned over the past ten years. The focus for the next five-year term is to build on the great work it has done to date, with their vision for the future to do even more for the city’s business community.

5-years ago the area around Cambridge Station became part of the BID. Since then, the area has seen significant development, into what is now the CB1 area. This includes offices for brands such as Microsoft and Amazon. Continuing the work of integrating this amazing new development within the historic city centre will be a key part of delivery

Paul Clement, CEO of Locus, comments: “For centuries, Cambridge has been renowned as an educational city, home to world-leading colleges and universities. However, in recent years it has also developed a reputation for research and technology. One of the focuses for the next 5-years will be welcoming back the international visitor market; whilst also opening up the city’s undiscovered jewels to a regional and local market, thereby encouraging more visits, increased dwell time and overnight stays. We are looking forward to collaborating with the Cambridge BID on this project”

Ian Sandison, CEO of Cambridge BID, adds: “We worked with Paul and his team on our second term ballot 5 years ago and we are pleased to be doing so again. Cambridge is a city of great opportunity and we will continue working towards our vision of ‘Creating a world class experience for all who visit, live and work in Cambridge, a global city’”.
